Togetherness Therapy:

A Professional Sanctuary for the Servant’s Soul.

Providing a private, confidential space for those in ministry, missions,

and leadership to navigate life’s tensions with grace and hope.

About Me:

A Heart for Your Story

My path to becoming a counsellor didn’t start in a classroom; it began in the lived reality of living rooms, church halls, and mission fields where I spent over 15 years in ministry leadership. Those years taught me that behind every leader is a person navigating deep joys and heartbreaks—often while carrying the heavy weight of being watched and relied upon.

My Clinical Foundation

Today, my calling is rooted in a professional Diploma in Counselling, allowing me to offer a sanctuary that is as clinically robust as it is compassionate. My practice is built on a trauma-informed foundation. I am committed to providing a safe, predictable space where you can process your experiences without the fear of being overwhelmed or re-traumatised.

I integrate several key therapeutic traditions to meet your unique needs:

  • Psychodynamic & Existential: Exploring how your past experiences and search for meaning shape your present reality.
  • Person-Centred: Ensuring you are fully seen, accepted, and held in a non-judgmental space.
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): Providing practical tools to manage distress and navigate the "here and now".

Specialist Trauma Support

I have a deep heart for working with those who have experienced trauma, whether it stems from childhood, leadership burnout, or spiritual distress. My approach prioritises your emotional safety and autonomy, helping you regain a sense of agency over your own story. We move at your pace, focusing on stabilising your nervous system and building the resilience needed for long-term healing.

Marriage & Relationship Excellence

For couples, I offer specialised support using research-backed frameworks that are particularly effective for restoring safety after trust has been broken:

  • The A Method: Using tools from The Gottman Institute to manage conflict and rebuild friendship.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Restoring secure attachment by de-escalating negative cycles of conflict.
  • Imago Relationship Therapy: Transforming conflict into healing by understanding how childhood wounds influence adult bonds.

My Mission

I founded Togetherness Therapy to provide a confidential, trusted space for those in leadership to breathe. My work is anchored in the promise of Isaiah 61: ‘He has sent me to repair broken hearts, and to declare to those who are held captive and bound in prison, be free!’ My prayer is that this practice would be a place where you can lay down your burdens and find the professional support you need to truly flourish.

Stepping Out of the Fishbowl

Over the years, I’ve learned that the people everyone else leans on often have the fewest places to turn. Leadership brings a unique kind of isolation—a feeling that you must always 'have it together' for the sake of your calling.

I provide a space where the ‘leader' or ‘Professional Christian’ mask can be set aside. My practice is an external, protected environment where your story is handled with absolute discretion and professional care.

However, empathy is only half of the journey. To ensure you receive the highest standard of care, I bring a disciplined, academic approach to my work, rooted in a BMus (Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma. As a Member of the BACP, I combine this high-level training with a specialised Integrative Diploma in counselling from a Christian perspective.

When you work with me at Togetherness Therapy, you aren't just getting a sympathetic ear; you are getting a professional partner who understands the complexities of your calling and has the clinical tools to help you find a sustainable path toward healing and wholeness.

I believe that caring for leaders is a collective responsibility. Many churches and missionary organisations have dedicated funds for "Member Care" or professional development to ensure their staff stay healthy and resilient. If you would like to approach your leadership or oversight body for funding, I am happy to provide a Letter of Support.

This letter outlines the professional nature of our work and the benefits of proactive care, helping to facilitate the conversation with your organisation while maintaining your personal confidentiality.
