What to Expect from Missionary Care & Debriefing

Specialised support for those serving across cultures and borders.

Missionary life is a unique "symphony" of high-calling and high-pressure. Drawing on my own 15 years on the field, I provide an integrative debriefing model that goes beyond a casual chat. We use professional tools to help you process your term, protect your mental health, and navigate the "in-between" spaces of global service.

In individual therapy, "Integrative" means I draw from a rich palette of psychological traditions to support your specific needs. Rather than following a rigid script, I listen for the unique "melody" of your life, using proven frameworks to help you find clarity and relief.

1. Holistic Debriefing (Narrative Therapy)

We use narrative tools to "tell the story" of your term. By externalising the challenges you’ve faced—whether it’s language frustration, political instability, or "reverse culture shock"—we can look at them objectively. This process helps you honour the grief and the growth, ensuring your experiences are integrated rather than just "filed away."

2. Member Care & Burnout Prevention (Systemic Approach)

Missionaries often function within complex systems (agencies, sending churches, and local teams). We explore these dynamics, identifying where systemic stress might be causing personal exhaustion. Using an integrative lens, we develop "Resilience Maps" to help you establish boundaries and sustainable rhythms, whether you are on the field or in a season of re-entry.

3. Spiritual & Emotional Integration (Spiritually Integrated Therapy)

The mission field can often lead to a "crisis of faith" that is difficult to discuss with supporters. My practice offers a safe, professional sanctuary to explore spiritual fatigue or "the dark night of the soul" without judgment. We work to align your emotional health with your spiritual identity, moving from "doing" for God to "being" with Him.

Why Global Accessibility Matters?

I understand that missionary life doesn't happen in a 9-to-5 time zone. By offering sessions via Zoom, I provide a consistent, "home-base" therapeutic relationship that stays with you, regardless of where your calling takes you.

The Togetherness Approach

You have spent your life caring for the souls of others; let this be the space where your soul is cared for. Together, we will navigate the "tensions" of your journey, ensuring you have the emotional and professional support to remain healthy, whole, and free.

Get in Touch

Taking the first step can often feel like the hardest part. To help make it easier, I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory call. This is a quiet, informal space for us to meet, discuss what’s on your mind, and see if we are a good fit for your journey toward healing. There is no pressure to commit—just a chance to be heard.

Not ready for a session yet? That’s okay. If you are looking for a more personal way to check in with yourself today, I have created a specific tool for you.
